I grew up during the time of doodle art - remember those? You got a pack of felt markers and elaborate black line drawings on a number of themes. I would spend hours coloring these in! Little did I know then that coloring pages were a benefit to my well-being. So, what is it that makes fairy coloring such a worthwhile pursuit? This is my opinion, obviously, but here goes. When a child, or an adult faces a crisp white coloring page it is the beginning of an adventure. It gives a little feeling of elation and wonder. It might give you a little feeling of fear or confusion. Trust me, if you relax and realize that you are doing this "just for the fun of it". This cliche is true. Any art is really for the fun of it. For the exploration and adventure. Characters that children love, like Pokemon, Dora, Barbie, Thomas the train, Scooby the Dog, Donald Duck etc and many more can be easily accessed and printed out for them to add their own imagination of colors. Coloring can be a family activity as well. It is one of the best ways to spend time creatively with your child and bond well. Thus you can spend a relaxing time that is a brain tonic for your child too!
